Recreational Program Director

A recreational program director will maintain and build upon the integrity, safety, and quality of the gymnastics recreational programs in the new Greenpoint, Brooklyn location. This position is an opportunity to lead a small group of committed and passionate instructors in the continual refinement of our program of gymnasts aged 12 months to 8 years. 

Responsibilities:

  • adapt the appropriate class levels as the same as Williamsburg location, to schedule class days and time for School year and Summer seasons and camp

  • To staff PUP program, birthday parties, and special events

  •  Responsible for appropriate gymnastics progressions, lessons plans, and rotation schedules

  • Serve as immediate supervisor to the instructors, review instructor’s performances and set expectations

  • Responsible for class registrations and answering emails daily

  • Leads and plans meetings when needed, involved in the hire and firing process

  • Teach or coach 20+ classes a week

  • Check and maintain all equipment safety logs

Qualifications:

  • Finds joy in working with children  

  • Leads with energy, kindness, empathy and a sense of humor

  • Demonstrates cultural competency and skills engaging with and learning from people with diverse backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives

  • At least 5 years of teaching/coaching experience, 2+ years of previous director or management experiences

  • USAG membership, background check and safesport certification. First Aid and CPR plus. (it can be obtained within 3 months of employment)

Substitute Gymnastics Instructors

Substitute instructors for all programs. Pre-school, school age, ninja, tumbling, and competitive team coaches. 

Competitive hourly rate. Benefits not included.

Qualifications:

  • Finds joy in working with children  

  • Leads with energy, kindness, empathy, and a sense of humor

  • Must have prior gymnastics teaching experience
