wHAT IS PRETEAM?

This is an advanced program for gymnasts ages 4yr-6yr. It is a 90 min class THAT meets twice a week & focuses on building a strong GYMNASTICS foundation. The goal of preteam is to prepare gymnasts for the competitive team in the
future.

 

WHAT DO THEY DO?

During practice the gymnasts work on flexibility, strength training, rhythm and coordination. gYMNASTS PERFECT their current gymnastics and dance skills as well as progress towards more difficult skills and skill combinations. PRETeam GYMNASTS are also welcome and encouraged to perform OR ATTEND the numerous SHOWS or competitions we will organize  throughout the year.

mondays & fridays
4:30pm-6:00pm

wHAT IS xcel?

XCEL is an alternative USA Gymnastics competitive program offering individual flexibility to coaches and gymnasts. The goal of XCEL is to provide gymnasts of varying abilities and commitment levels the opportunity for a rewarding gymnastics experience.

WHAT DO THEY DO?

xcel gYMNASTS WORK ON ALL FOUR EVENTS: vault, uneven bars, balance beam and floor exercise. xCEL GYMNASTS TRAIN TO COMPETE in multiple meets throughout the season. There are 5 divisions: Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum and Diamond. Placement is based on the team coaches' recommendation and the skills & level of difficulty each gymnast can attain. Routines are drafted with fluidity based on the ability of each gymnast!

what is powerteam?

Power TeamGym is a competitive sport within the Gymnastics for All discipline of USA Gymnastics. Athletes compete in groups of 6 – 14, called Squads. Each Squad performs a Jump Routine and a Floor Routine. The combined score from both Jump and Floor are added together for each Squad. Rankings or achievement status (in respective levels, divisions, and age groups) are determined according to the total score earned by each Squad.

WHAT DO THEY DO?

powerteam practices choreographed team routines on floor and vault. teammates must encourage each other in hopes of having a cohesive routine for competitions.

Ms. J's Teams are invite only and are subject to a try-out.

Joining a   team  is a huge commitment in many ways. Each gymnast must show up to every practice  prepared both  mentally and physically. We recommend that each potential team gymnast and their family take the time to carefully consider our Team Policies and discuss the big commitment before taking the leap.
