Joe Lemm Memorial Celebrity Basketball Game

How’s everyone’s week going?
#MsJsGym’s is looking forward to Friday! Tomorrow, we head to a very special basketball game.
This Friday, St. John’s University is holding a very special celebrity basketball game! Boomer & Carton will host tomorrow’s game. The game will show appreciation for the NYPD and honor its fallen officer, Joe Lemm.
Detective Joseph Lemm was a 15-year veteran of the NYPD. Detective Lemm earned the nickname “Superman” by fellow cops during his decorated career that included 427 arrests.
He is survived by his wife and two children. Joseph Lemm was a technical sergeant in the U.S. Air Force who was killed, along with five other service members in his patrol, four days before Christmas while serving our country in Afghanistan. Tomorrow’s game will honor the men and women who proudly serve this country.
Tomorrow’s game will include Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Famer, Mitch Redmond, and Red Storm’s women’s basketball coach, Joe Tartamella. Other celebrities playing in the basketball game include New York Mets Hall of Fame pitcher John Franco, former Pittsburgh Steelers head coach and Super Bowl Champion Bill Cowher, International Tennis Hall of Faner and former World’s No. 1 player John McEnroe, award-winning actor/comedian Michael Rapport and many more!
We are elated to be able to participate and help support such a wonderful occasion. Our hearts are with the families of the strong people who have helped to protect our country.
